One hot sunday of April 2002, our team in Davao was divided into two team(red vs yellow team). The game area was the outside perimeter of the Dona Luisa Subdivision in Davao City. It was a very good game area..lots of cogon grass and shrubberies...lots of Ipil-ipil trees..scattered Mango trees.. For short..good 1.5 hectares approx. of vegetation and foliage. It was a 15-minute time-limit game, armed with TM MP5 A4 at 420fps, I slowly crawled my way into enemy territory. I was ahead from my red team mates for a distance of 10metres. I literally slithered my way through thick cogon grasses..a bit scared of encountering snakes. But I was much more worried of crawling into "human minefield"...for short- - human faeces. Such area was commonly use as portable toilet by people residing nearby. I could already smell some faecal odour somewhere..but I couldn't figure where exactly such "minefield" is located. Nevertheless, I didn't care much of such situation as long as I could get into the enemy territory which I recon could be just anywhere at my 1 o'clock to 3 o'clock ahead of me. I am much more worried of encountering them with their TM AEGs clocking at 450-500fps. ..to be continued

25 metres ahead, I can hear players talking. I'm sure they are OpFors(yellow team). They are in vantage position..considering there are Ipil-ipil trees ahead of me. But such trees couldn't provide good cover for them considering the trunk of the biggest of such tree is lesser than a man's waist. Confident, I continued my seemingly-reptilean maneouvre. Suddenly, all hell break loose.. 3 team mates of mine, at 12metres behind my position, fired their aegs in full auto on the OpFors position. The OpFors answered back in staccato. Come on, I told to myself, fire some more. I wanted to hear some more fire from the OpFors so that I could locate their exact location and exact number. I was then 18- 20metres from the OpFors' staccato fire.
..to be continued.. need to finish my night shift.

As I was slowly getting closer, my heart beat got faster and faster as I hear the OpFors' fire getting nearer . . .and nearer. I observed that the cogon grass field getting thinner and its height getting lower. I synchronised my movement on the sound of the enemies' gunfire. I moved as they fired back so as to mask the rustling of the said grass as I crawled through it. I was reminded of the film Thin Red Line because of the grassfield as I slowly continued crawling, and also of the unknown position of the OpFors. LOL!! The OpFors' gunfires were barely 15metres as per my estimate. As I slowly emerged out of a thick swath of grass, I noticed some dark silhouttes from the shaded Ipil-Ipil tree 12-1 o'clock from my position... 5 OpFors ahead!!.. Good!! As I thought to myself, they are quite focused from their engagement against my team mates. I trained my gunsight to the nearest 2 OpFors who seemed to huddled to each other against an Ipil-Ipil tree. Before squeezing the trigger, I wind up again my MP5 A4's hi-cap mag just to make sure that it is full and loaded. BRRRRRRTTT!! BRRRTTT!!! BRRRTTT!! BRRRRRRTTTTTTT!! HIT! HIT! HIT! HIT! Hahaha!! Who wouldn't declare to such hit..considering that it was all clean shots(chests and shoulders)..and the good FPS..as I thought to myself. After seeing 2 OpFors standing up, I immediately dropped to the ground so that my current position would not be compromised as the eliminated OpFors' team mates would surely check who shot their fallen comrades. I continued crawling to my 12 o'clock position slowly.. Gunshots continued and exchanging like a tennis match.. From my location after 30 seconds, I gently raised from my position and started to move forward.. I heard some distant gunfire from my team mates at 5-6 o'clock position and instantly I felt some stinging bbs all over my right shoulder..ARGGGHH!!! HIT!! HIT!! HIT!! I immediately stood up and raised up my gun above my head. How could they dare to shot me as I thought to myself.. They might have surely thought that I was OpFor. As I walked out from my position, I pointed out my arm band attached to my left arm. I could hear somebody apologetically shouting at the back. I realised from my team mates' position at 22-24 metres 6 o'clock from my direction, they can't see my arm band(attached to my left arm). What a waste of momentum I could have breach the OpFors' defense.. Well, maybe next time...
