Ok, ako muna ang be-breaking sa thread na 'to. hehe..
One of my funny and a bit scary airsoft experienced I had was when me and my buddy(and kumpare)hid under the "Talongan" field at the foot of a hill at a gamesite near San Rafael Village, Davao City way back 1994. During that time, we could then consider ourselves as veterans of such sport or hobby or whatever we called it during that time. Considering that we were playing airsoft since early 1993. I was armed with Yonezawa/KHC Walther MPL Automatic AA battery-operated gas powered gun and my mate who was armed with Kokusai Automatic Mini-Uzi gas powered gun with modified/extended barrel. We where then smoking cigarettes and waiting for ambush. Our position was strategically good for ambush(we thought so). We were then lying on our backs and sometimes change to prone position after feeling sore. We've waited for almost 4 minutes and half-way to finish our cigies when a group of tangos was seen coming from the top of the hill going slowly down to our 11 o'clock direction. We counted 6 tangos armed with the top of the line automatic M4 and M16 gas guns during that time. ... Maruzens, JACs and Kokusais..Yaiks..all powered with the dreaded CO2 Supertanks(size of a mini-O2 tank for scuba diving) with regulators. They were then barely 22 metres from our position and they were in "high-alert-for-ambush" mode. It was then really funny to see ourselves a bit trembling whilst holding our cigy sticks and puffing away the smoke with fear. hahaha.. It was really an ackward moment to see each other with that kind of looks and we then giggled and laughed it out quietly. We didn't expect such good number of tangos armed with such armaments. Our ambush was only good for 1-3 tangos. We just then decided by whispered communication that we just let them pass by without doing an ambush. The tangos passed by in front of us at 11 o'clock direction then 12 ....then 2 o'clock at 15metres away from our location. They passed by without noticing our smokes and our position..our vulnerable position actually(imagine we were then lying under the Talong leaves and twigs of the said field without good hard cover..hahaha..). WHEW! What a relief when our position was not compromised and we then just lit up again another stick of cigy..letting the nicotine get in our nerves to calm down.

I got another funny experience in airsoft skirmishing wayback 1994. It's more of a cinematic-action seemingly straight from a Hollywood action film. The story goes this way..... I was tasked to hold the line from a frontal attack by a group of OpFors while 3 of my team mates went right at 3 o'clock. I was then hiding at a banana grove, and waiting for the assault of the OpFors. 2 minutes after my mates went to their designated position, 2 OpFors came to where I was expecting them to pass by at 1 o'clock from my position. I was then a bit relieve that my Freon gas was now good to go after the cold rain stopped half an hour ago. Gas should be expanding by now and pressure should be good for my Yonezawa/HFC Walther MPL Battery-operated gas powered airsoft gun(small gas tank connected to a T-bar with an empty expansion small tank with its end connected by 1metre semi-coiled black hose to my gun's quick-release port connector). Rainwater coming from the banana leaves drips every now and then. I stepped on a small slippery wet mound to get a better view and firing position. Whilst standing, I then trained my gunsight to the nearest OpFor, who was then at a distance of 18metres from my position. Then I gently squeezed the trigger before he discover my position. The loud sound of my MPL's fire was like a cranked-up Kubota Motor engine..BOG!BOG!BOG!BOG! HIT! HIT! HIT!, as shouted by the surprised OpFor.. Hahahaha! What a sweet sound to hear!! Very rewarding. From that moment, I could now hear some exchanging gunfires at 3 o'clock of my position. In a matter of 5 seconds, gunfire at 1 o'clock position came to life and bbs started to find its way at my position. Some bbs could be heard getting a good rapid impact to the banana trunks around me. Twok! Twok! Twok! Twak! Twak!. Very intimidating but very nice to hear. "Ha! ha! ha! I'm not yet hit! I'm sure they can't immediately take me down from here", as I thought. I was then confidently standing against a group of standing banana trunk(grove)and getting hold from being slip by the elevated wet mound, and firing back to their seemingly-bogged down position. Just right after I stopped firing, "PRAK! PRAK! PRAK! PRAK!" I felt some sting at my right shoulder and slight push from my 4 o'clock. I was thrown off immediately to the ground. I just realised that an OpFor at my 4 o'clock at a distance of 10metres fired his M4 Kokusai automatic gas gun. All his bbs found their intended target and his sudden presence at my back has actually thrown off my balance. I slipped from where I was standing and it seems eternity, like slow-motion, I fell off to the wet ground with my buttocks first. I was sure that OpFor who shot me had a very hearty laugh within him and a big satisfaction for his maneouvre. Good thing such cinematic film action was only witnessed by just the two of us, the victim and the attacker. LOL!

I remember the very first time I played airsoft which was in Finmere. There was this instance, i was maneuvering with sir ramrod... brandishing my very first AEG, the ever reliable Fa-mas. We were about to assualt the satalite dish where about 2 opfors are camped inside the building. Sir ramrod was guiding me every step of the way... like the teacher and the student.
When the objective was within range 12 o'clock of our position and me giving continious burst of cover fire on the building's window while sir ramrod's flanking the building on the left, there was a sudden hail of bb's that came from our 3 o'clock where about 3 tangos were hold up waiting for ambush.
I was so surprised that i ran for cover backwards to our previous position, so surprised that i didn't mind where i was running to. then to my surprise, there was this fallen tree which i didn't saw... tripped over and when i was about to fall flat, accidentally poke my gun on the ground. good thing it was a soft ground that it absorbed the impact of my fa-mas( or else i had ended up with two-parts fa-mas).
Not only was i hit by the ambush group, i even fell down like a huge chunk of lumber. oh, was it a laugh!!! was so red-faced and laughing and sir ramrod as well. When i walked back to the safe zone, i checked my fa-mas and in it, inside the flash hider, about 2 inches of mud. And when emil and andrew saw it and got wind of the "incident" they were laughing was well, hehehehe!!!!!
learned a very good lesson there...
in every situation you encounter.... before you go in... make sure you know where the safest way to get out.
MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHERE IS THE SAFEST WAY TO YOUR FALL-BACK POSITION!!!!!
